1993-7 ZONING AMENDMENT ORDINANCE Z-93-2 BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: 1. That portions of the zoning map attached to and made a part of the City of Portsmouth Zoning Ordinance which now zone as Downtown D-1-R (Residential), the property described in Petition for Zoning Amendment Number Z-93-2, are hereby amended and changed so as to show said property zoned as Downtown D-1-C (Commercial) and Downtown D-1-P (Public), and that said property is hereby zoned as Downtown D-1-C (Commercial) and Downtown D-1-P (Public). 2. The property affected by this ordinance by being zoned Downtown D-1-C (Commercial) is described as follows: Beginning at a point on the south right-of-way line of County Street 60 feet east from its intersection with the east right-of-way of Effingham Street; thence south 113 feet to a point; thence east 3 feet to a point; thence south 112.93 feet to the north right-of-way line of Columbia Street; thence east along said right-of-way 57.16 feet to a point; thence north 226.17 feet to the south right-o-way line of County Street; thence west along said right-of-way 60.84 feet to the point of origin. 3. The property affected by this ordinance by being zoned Downtown D-1-P (Public) is described as follows: Beginning on the north right-of-way line of South Street 90 feet east from its intersection with the east right-of-way line of Effingham Street; thence north along a side property line 60 feet to a point; thence east 30 feet to a point; thence south 60 feet to the north right-of-way of South Street; thence west along said right-of-way 30 feet to the point of origin. 4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting held January 26, 1993. Teste: City Clerk
