ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF BROADWAY STREET. <br /> <br /> WXqEREAS, Boris O. Taran has made application to vacate <br />and close and discontinue the hereinafter described unimproved <br />portion of Broadway Street; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by a Resolution of this Council adopted August <br />10, 1993, viewers were appointed pursuanu to Section 15.1-364 <br />of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, uo view the <br />hereinafter described portion of said street and to report in <br />writing whether in their opinion any, and if any, what <br />inconvenience would result from discontinuing said portion of <br />Broadway Street; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the said viewers have reported in wriuing uhat <br />in their opinion no inconvenience would result from the <br />closing and discontinuing of said s~reeu. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE tT ORDAINED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the portion of said street <br />hereinafter described be closed and vacated as a public <br />street. <br /> <br /> All that certain oortion of Broadway <br /> Street which is bounded and described as <br /> follows: Bounded on the wesu by the <br /> right-of-way of Lombardy Avenue, on the <br /> east by the right-of-way of Virginia <br /> Route t64, and bounded on the north and <br /> south by the lands of Boris O. Taran. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, hereby reserves unto itself a perpetual easemenu, <br />right and privilege to install, operate, maintain and replace <br />water mains over, under and across the hereinabove described <br />portion of Broadway Street. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held on November 9, 1993. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
