AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF REED AVENUE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority <br />has made application to vacane and close and discontinue the <br />hereinafter described portion of Reed Avenue; and <br /> <br /> WHEREA~, by a Resolution of this Council adopted Augusu <br />10, 1993, viewers were appcinted pursuan5 no Section 15.1-364, <br />Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, to view the hereinafter <br />described portion of said street and to report in writing <br />whether in their opinion any, and if any, what inconvenience <br />would result from discontinuing a porulon of Reed Avenue; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the said viewers have reported in <br />in their opinion no inconvenience would result <br />closing and discontinuing of said street. <br /> <br />writing that <br />from the <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council o~ the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the portion of said streen <br />hereinafter described be closed and vacated as a public <br />sureet. <br /> <br /> Ail that certain portion of Reed <br />Avenue beginning an the southern line of <br />Baltard Avenue (now closed) and extending <br />100 feet, more or less, to the portion of <br />Reed Avenue previously closed by <br />Ordinance 1963-14. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of <br />Virginia, at a meeting held on <br /> <br />the City of Portsmouth, <br />November 9, 1993. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
