AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 22 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, 1988, BY ADDING SECTION 22-499.1 <br />THERETO, PERTAINING TO MAKING PORTIONS OF NORTH STREET <br />ONE-WAY. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 22-499.1 of the Code of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, 1988, be ordained to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 22-499.1. <br /> <br />North 'Street between Chesapeake <br />Avenue and Constitution Avenue. <br /> <br /> (a) North Street between Chesapeake Avenue and Jamestown <br />Avenue is hereby designated a one-way street west. <br /> <br /> (b) North Street between Jamestown Avenue and <br />Constitution Avenue is hereby designated a one-way street <br />west. <br /> <br /> (c) It shall be unlawful for any person to drive a <br />vehicle east on North Street from Chesapeake Avenue to <br />Jamestown Avenue. It shall be unlawful for any person to <br />drive a vehicle east on North Street from Jamestown Avenue <br />Constitution Avenue. <br /> <br />to <br /> <br /> 2.
