AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 6 THE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, 1988, BY ADDING THERETO, SECTION 6-78, <br />PERTAINING TO BOATS AND WATERWAYS. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That Chapter 6 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, 1988, be amended by adding thereto Section 6-78 to <br />be ordained and read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 6-78. Disregarding signal by Law Enforcement <br /> Officer to stop. <br /> <br /> Any person who, having received a visible or audible <br />signal of a flashing light or siren from any Game Warden or <br />other Law-Enforcement Officer to bring his motor boat or other <br />vessel to a stop, fails to do so promptly shall be guilty of a <br />Class 3 Misdemeanor. <br /> <br />2. This Ordinance shall take effect July 1, 1993. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held on June 22, 1993. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
