ORDINANCE NO ? AN ORDINANCE CLOSING PORTIONS OF THIRD STREET, RUTH BROWN AVENIFE, HENRY STREET, RANDOLPH STREET, A LANE OR ALLY PARALLEL TO FIRST STREET, A LANE PARALLEL TO RUTH BROWN AVENUE, AND A PORTION OF WAVY STREET. WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth's Department Development has made application to vacate, close discontinue the hereinafter described portions of lanes and/or alley; and of Economic and streets, WHEREAS, by resolutions of this Council adopted October 25, 1994 and November 8, 1994, viewers were appointed pursuant to Section 15.1-364 of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, to v!ew the hereinafter described portions o~ streets, lanes and/or alley and to report in writing whether in their opinion any, and if any, what inconvenience would result from vacating and closing portions of said streets, lanes and/or alley; and WHEREAS, said viewers have reported in writing, that in their opinion, no inconvenience would result from the vacating and closing of said streets, lanes and/or alley. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the portions of said streets, lanes and/or alley hereinafter described, be closed and vacated as public rights-of-way, to-wit: ALL that portion of Third Street lying between uhe north right-of-way line of Lincoln Street, and the south right-of-way line of Wavy (formerly Harrison) StreeE. ALL that portion of Ruth Brown Avenue (formerly Second Street), lying between the north right-of-way line of Lincoln Street, and the south right-of-way line of Wavy (formerly Harrison) Streen. ALL that portion of Henry Street lying between the wesn right-of-way line of Third Street, and the west right-of-way line of First Street. ALL that portion of Randolph Street lying between the west right-of-way line of Third Street, and the west right-of-way line of First street.
