(i) Privately owned passenger cars used for home delivery <br />of commercially prepared food may be equipped with one (1) <br />steady burning white light for the nighttime illumination of a <br />sign identifying the business delivering the food. Such sign <br />skall not utilize primarily green, red or blue colors. Such <br />sign shall not exceed eighteen (18) inches in height nor have <br />more than four (4) sides, no side of which shall exceed fifteen <br />by twenty-four inches (15" x 24"). Such light shall emit <br />diffused illumination of such an intensity as not to project a <br />glaring or a dazzling light. Such light may only be <br />illuminated during delivery. <br /> <br /> (j) Department of Corrections vehicles designated by the <br />Director of the State Department of Corrections and law <br />enforcement vehicles may be equipped with flashing, blinking or <br />alternating blue or blue and red combination warning lights of <br />types approved by the superintendent. <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />Vehicles permitted by this section to be equipped <br />with flashing, blinking or alternating red, red and <br />white, blue or blue and red warning lights maybe <br />equipped with the means to flash their headlights <br />when their warning lights are activated if; (i) the <br />headlights are wired to allow either the high beam or <br />low beam to flash, but not both, and (ii) the <br />headlight system includes a switch or device which <br />prevents flashing of headlights when headlights are <br />required to be lighted under Section 22-183 of this <br />Code. <br /> <br />Sec. 22-237. Maximu~ width-Generally. <br /> <br /> Except as otherwise provided in Section 22-238, no <br />vehicle, including any load thereon, but excluding the required <br />mirror, shall exceed a total outside width as follows: <br /> <br />(1) Passenger bus operated in the city-One hundred two <br /> (102) inches. <br /> <br />(2) School buses-One hundred (100) inches. <br /> <br />(3) <br /> <br />Recreational vehicles One hundred two (102) inches <br />with safety devices not to exceed three (3) inches on <br />each side of the vehicle, excluding rear view <br />mirrors. For purposes of this section, "recreational <br />vehicle" means every vehicular-type unit primarily <br />designed as temporary living quarters for <br /> <br /> <br />
