40 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR THE CLOSING OF A PORTION OF <br />BART STREET IN THAT BLOCK BOUNDED BY AUGUSTA AVENUE AND <br />CAROLINE AVENUE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Eldridge R. Vick has made application Eo vacaEe, <br />close and discontinue the hereinafter-described street, and it <br />appearing that Notice of Application and RequesE for an <br />Appointment of Viewers has been advertised as required by law. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Roy Leinart, William Choate, <br />Clinton J. Fortune, Lee Batts and Casey Lavender be appointed <br />viewers and that Martha Glover and Otis Gene Baldwin be <br />appointed alternaue viewers in the evenE that one of the <br />preceding viewers fails to participaue, said viewers to view <br />the hereinafter described smree5 and to report to this Council, <br />in writing, whether in their opinion, any, and if any, <br />inconvenience would result in vacating and closing the <br />following: <br /> <br /> ALL that portion of Bart Street from its <br /> intersection with uhe eastern line of the <br /> right-of-way line of Augusta Avenue (as extended <br /> across Bart Street) to the point where the extension <br /> of the eastern boundary lines of Lot 17 in Block 57 <br /> and Lot 18 in Block 46 on the plat of Virginia Realty <br /> and Investment Company intersect the center line of <br /> the right-of-way of Bart Street, said area being 120 <br /> feet, more or less, in length. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held on October 25, 1994. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />CityClerk <br /> <br /> <br />
