d~-, First.Clase Pat=oiOf£icers and Field Tra{nlnq officers ~ Police Officers serving as First Class Patrol Officers and Field Training Officers, as designated by the Chief of Police, shall receive an allowance of $45 per month as approved in advance by uhe City Manager. e. 5%-~qency Medical Technicia~ Sworn personnel, except the Fire Chief, who have successfully completed the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course, shall receive an allowance of $70 per month. f. HazardousMaterials Team Sworn personnel .in the Fire Department who have successfully completed the core classes as defined by the Deparumenn of Emergency Services and are currently assigned to the Hazardous Manerials Team, shall receive an allowance of $50 per month. g. Fire Prevention Bureau, Traini'n~ Bureau, and Administrative Office Sworn personnel in the grades of Firefighter, Fire Lieuten- ann, and Fire Captain, serving in the Fire PrevenTion Bureau, Training Bureau, and Administrative Office, as designated by uhe Fire Chief, shall receive an allowance of S45 per month, as approved in advance by the City Manager. h. Tactical Response Unit Any sworn officer assigned as one of the 17 members of the Police Tactical Response Unit shall recemve an allowance in the amount of $50 per month. Master Police Officers or Master Firefiqhters Sworn personnel in the grades of Police Officer and Fire- fighter may receive a special allowance as Master Police officers or Master Firefighters. This shall consist of an allowance of 5% o~ currenn base salary for the duration of the period that the sworn person retains the ,,Master" designation, even in cases where this would cause an employees salary to exceed ehe maximum of the range. j. Education Allowance Sworn personnel zn the classifications of Police Officer, Police Sergeant, Police Lieutenant, Police Captain, Police Major, Assistant Police Chief, Firefighter, Fire Lieutenant, -8-
