AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF OLD BICKFORD PARKWAY. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, L.G.W. Investments, L.L.C., a Virginia limited <br />liability corporation, has made application to vacate and close <br />and discontinue the hereinafter described portion of Old <br />Bickford Parkway; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, a~ a meeting held on <br />January 2, 1996, recommended approval of the closing and <br />discontinuing of said street; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, notice of the proposed street closure has been <br />published and mailed Eo adjoining properEy owners, in <br />accordance with Section 15.1-364 of the Code of Virginia, 1950, <br />as amended. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, £hat the portion of said snree£ <br />hereinafter described be closed and vacated as a public street. <br /> <br /> Ail that certain streen with a 40' <br /> right of way called 01d Bickford Parkway <br /> shown on a certain plat entitled <br /> "Boundary Exhibit of Property located at <br /> Bickford Lane & Bickford Parkway, <br /> Portsmouth, Virginia", dated December 18, <br /> 1995, made by Hoggard/Eure Associates, <br /> more particularly described as follows: <br /> Beginning at a point on the West side of <br /> Towne Point Road at the Southeastern <br /> corner of property now or formerly owned <br />by Battlefield Industrial Park <br /> Associates, thence running S16 degrees <br /> 56'39"E, 41.02 feet; thence running S85 <br /> degrees 49' 53" W, 226.2 feet; thence <br /> running S36 degrees 43' W, 20.15 feet; <br /> thence running Nil degrees 08' 21" W, <br /> 64.49 feet; thence running southeasterly <br /> along the arc of a curve to the left, <br /> said curve having a radius of 10 feet, a <br /> distance of 14.49 feet; thence running <br /> N85 degrees 49' 53" E, 228.22 feet to the <br /> point of beginning, containing 9,697 <br /> square feet. <br /> <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br /> <br /> <br />
