AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF OLD BICKFORD PARKWAY. WHEREAS, L.G.W. Investments, L.L.C., a Virginia limited liability corporation, has made application to vacate and close and discontinue the hereinafter described portion of Old Bickford Parkway; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, a~ a meeting held on January 2, 1996, recommended approval of the closing and discontinuing of said street; and WHEREAS, notice of the proposed street closure has been published and mailed Eo adjoining properEy owners, in accordance with Section 15.1-364 of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, £hat the portion of said snree£ hereinafter described be closed and vacated as a public street. Ail that certain streen with a 40' right of way called 01d Bickford Parkway shown on a certain plat entitled "Boundary Exhibit of Property located at Bickford Lane & Bickford Parkway, Portsmouth, Virginia", dated December 18, 1995, made by Hoggard/Eure Associates, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point on the West side of Towne Point Road at the Southeastern corner of property now or formerly owned by Battlefield Industrial Park Associates, thence running S16 degrees 56'39"E, 41.02 feet; thence running S85 degrees 49' 53" W, 226.2 feet; thence running S36 degrees 43' W, 20.15 feet; thence running Nil degrees 08' 21" W, 64.49 feet; thence running southeasterly along the arc of a curve to the left, said curve having a radius of 10 feet, a distance of 14.49 feet; thence running N85 degrees 49' 53" E, 228.22 feet to the point of beginning, containing 9,697 square feet.
