within the city ................. 50.00 <br /> <br />(b) An additional fee shall be paid pursuant to Section <br /> 7-t38(b). <br /> <br />Sec. 7-138. S~une-Demolition permits and inspections. <br /> <br /> (a) The fee for demolition permits shall he twenty-five <br />dollars ($25.00). <br /> <br /> (b) The person obtaining a demolition or moving permit <br />shall be responsible for sealing the building or structure's <br />sanitary sewer lateral at the property line or cleanout. Such <br />seal shall be constructed with three thousand (3,000) PSI <br />(minimum) compression strength concrete in accordance with the <br />department of public utility standards. A fee of twenty-five <br />dollars ($25.00) shall be paid for inspection of the seal by <br />the city. The seal shall not be covered until inspected and <br />approved. The responsibility for safeguarding the excavation <br />made for sealing the lateral until inspection and for <br />adequately backfilling such excavation after inspection and <br />acceptance shall be borne by the demolition permit holder. The <br />person obtaining a demolition permit may elect to have the city <br />seal the building or structure's sanitary sewer lateral at a <br />cost of one hundred dollars ($100.00). If such election is <br />made and the one-hundred dollar ($100.00) fee is paid, the <br />twenty-five dollar ($25.00) sanitary sewer lateral sealing <br />inspection fee will be waived. <br /> <br /> (c) The person obtaining a demolition permit shall comply <br />with the provisions of the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building <br />Code. <br /> <br />Sec. 7-142. Refund policy. <br /> <br /> (a) Unless otherwise provided in the Virginia Uniform <br />Statewide Building Code, the provisions of (b) below, shall <br />apply to any refund of permit fees. <br /> <br /> (b) No one hundred percent (100%) of the permit fee will <br />be granted, nor will there be any refunds of twenty-five <br />dollars ($25.00) or less. All refunds will be subject to a <br />twenty-five dollar ($25.00) processing fee and must be approved <br />by the Building Official. When the permit holder requests a <br />refund in writing from the Building Official stating the reason <br />for the request, the table below indicates the percentage of <br />refund permissible in each situation. <br /> <br />Inspection Completed <br /> <br />Percentage of Refund <br /> <br /> <br />
