25 A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO APPROVE CERTAIN ADDITIONS, DELETIONS AND CHANGES IN FUNCTIONAL CLASSIFICATION OF STREETS IN THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH FOR THE PURPOSE OF CALCULATING MAINTENANCE PAYMENTS. WHEREAS, the regulations of the Virginia Department of Transportation adopted pursuant to Section 33.1-41.1, Code of Virginia, require that the City submit a request for mileage additions, deletions and changes in functional classification of streets which occurred during the fiscal year; and WHEREAS, the following described changes in mileage have occurred in the City of Portsmouth for the reasons specified. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the Virginia Department of Transportation be requested to approve the following additions, deletions and changes in functional classification for streets in the City of Portsmouth for the purpose of calculating maintenance payments: A. ADDITIONS 1. Candlelight Lane from River Pointe Drive to cul-de-sac. 2. Columbia Court from South Street to loop. 3. Columbia Court from loop back to loop. B. DELETIONS 1. Park Manor spur from City Park Avenue to Park Manor Road. 2. Ruth Brown Avenue from Lincoln Street to Randolph Street. 3. Ruth Brown Avenue from Randolph Street to Wythe Street. 4. Henry Street from First Street to Second Street. 5. Randolph Street from First Street to Second Street. 6. Randolph Street from Second Street to .29 miles west Second Street.
