87 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ADOPTING AN AMENDMENT (CP-95-05) TO <br />THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />on July 11, 1989, adopted a Comprehensive Plan, (CP-89-1), for <br />the physical development of the territory within the City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, after notice and public <br />hearing, as required by Article IV of Chapter 11 of Title 15.1 <br />of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, has recommended that <br />the Comprehensive Plan be amended as set forth in the <br />Comprehensive Plan Technical Report (1995) to incorporate <br />current data with respect to land use, population, <br />transportation, economy, neighborhoods, parks and open space, <br />and utilities; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Portsmouth has held a <br />public hearing, with notice as required by law, and has <br />considered the proposed amendment to the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, that the Comprehensive Plan for the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, (CP-89-1) be, and hereby is, amended as <br />set forth in the Comprehensive Plan Technical Report (1995), a <br />copy of which shall be filed and maintained in the Department <br />of Planning of the City of Portsmouth. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held November 28, 1995. <br /> <br /> Teste: <br /> <br /> <br /> City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
