85 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A <br />CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE CONCERNING THE VIRGINIA JUVENILE <br />COMMUNITY CRIME CONTROL ACT. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the 1995 Session of the General Assembly has <br />enacted legislation entitled "the Virginia Juvenile Community <br />Crime Control ACt" ("the Act"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, state funds are available to localities under the <br />Act, but only upon development of a plan to address a range of <br />programs, services and sanctions for youth involved in the <br />juvenile justice system; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Portsmouth has developed such a plan, which has <br />been approved by the Portsmouth Interagency Network judges of <br />the Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court and the <br />Director of Juvenile Court Services; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, virginia, that the City Manager is authorized to <br />execute and deliver to the appropriate official of the <br />Commonwealth of Virginia, on behalf of the City, the attached <br />certificate of intent to comply with all of the requirements <br />for such state funding. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held on November 28, 1995. <br /> <br /> Teste: <br /> <br /> <br /> City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
