53 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THAT THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF <br />TRANSPORTATION ESTABLISH AN URBAN HIGHWAY PROJECT FOR THE <br />IMPROVEMENT OF THE ENTRANCE TO THE U.S. NAVY SCOTT CENTER <br />ANNEX. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with the Virginia Department of <br />Transportation construction allocation procedures, it is <br />necessary that a request by Council resolution be made in order <br />that the Department program an urban highway project in the <br />City of Portsmouth. <br /> <br /> THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, requests the Virginia Department of <br />Transportation to establish a project for the improvement of <br />the entrance to the U.S. Navy Scott Center Annex from George <br />Washington Highway and including the eastern portion of <br />Bellport Avenue. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the CoUncil of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held on July 25, 1995. <br /> <br /> Teste: <br /> <br /> <br /> City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
