ZONING AMENDMENT ORDINANCE Z-96-13 <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That the portion of the zoning map attached to and <br />made a part of the City of Portsmouth Zoning Ordinance which <br />now zones as Residential RS-75, the property described in <br />Petition for Zoning Amendment Number Z-96-13, is hereby amended <br />and changed so as to show said property zoned as Commercial <br />C-2-K (Conditional), and that said property is hereby zoned as <br />Commercial C-2-K (Conditional). <br /> <br /> 2. That the property affected by this ordinance by being <br />zoned Commercial C-2-K (Conditional), is described as follows: <br /> <br /> Z-96-13 <br /> <br /> Beginning at a point 108'+/- north and 25'+/- <br /> west of the intersection of Oak Street and <br /> Highland Avenue; thence, west !00'+/- to a <br /> point; thence, north 108'± to a point; thence, <br /> east 100'± to a point; thence, south 108'± to <br /> the point of the beginning. <br /> <br /> 3. That Zoning Amendment Ordinance Z-96-13 is <br />conditioned upon the following as proffered by the owner, <br />James E. Keene:. <br /> <br /> (a) Use of the property will be limited to electrical <br />contracting and storage related to that use. <br /> <br /> (b) Prior to commencement of any of the activities <br />permitted under this ordinance, a six-foot high wooden <br />stockade-type fence must be installed along the side and rear <br />property lines to separate the rezoned property from adjacent <br />residential uses. <br /> <br /> (c) Development on the site will be consistent with the <br />signage and dimensional requirements of the Residential RS-75 <br />zoning district. <br /> <br /> (d) Activities on the rezoned property must not be <br />disruptive of the adjoining residential uses. <br /> <br /> <br />
