(c) After a public hearing, the Planning Commission may <br />grant a portion or all of the special exception and may add <br />such conditions as it deems necessary to accomplish the <br />purposes set forth in Section 40-48. The special exception <br />shall only be granted if the Commission finds the granting the <br />exception would result in development that would be (i) <br />compatible with the District's overall physical pattern of <br />development and (ii) consistent with the physical pattern of <br />development in the immediate vicinity of the subject property. <br /> <br /> 2. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of <br />its adoption. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held on November 25, 1997. <br /> <br /> Teste: <br /> <br /> City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
