$500 per year for attainment of an Associate's degree or <br /> $1,000 annually for attainment of a Bachelor's degree. <br /> <br />j. Fire Prevention Bureau <br /> <br /> All sworn personnel in the classification of Firefighter, <br /> Fire Lieutenant, and Fire Captain serving in the Fire <br /> Prevention Bureau shall receive an allowance of $1200 <br /> annually. <br /> <br />k. E-9 Corps <br /> <br /> Any sworn officer of the Police Department assigned to the <br /> K-9 Corps shall be allowed an hour's pay per day for canine <br /> care and maintenance. This time will be reflected as hours <br /> worked and be paid at the officer's hourly rate. On working <br /> days these duties will be performed within the scheduled <br /> hours. When the canine is housed at the canine facility, the <br /> officer will receive no compensation for those days. <br /> <br />l. City Assessor's Office <br /> <br /> The following payilncenuives are provided for the <br /> professional staff of the City Assessor's Office in addition <br /> to the pay structure in the current pay plan: <br /> <br /> 1. An allowance equal to 3% of the employee's current <br /> annual pay rate upon obtaining the Assessment <br /> Administrative Specialist (IAAO) designation. <br /> <br /> 2. An allowance equal to 5% of the employee's current <br /> annual pay rate upon obtaining the Residential <br /> Evaluation Specialist (IAAO/SRA). designation. <br /> <br /> 3. An allowance equal to 5% of the employee's current <br /> annual pay rate upon obtaining the Certified <br /> Assessment Evaluation (IAAO/MAI) designation. <br /> Employees who have previously received the 5% <br /> allowance for the Residential Evaluation Specialist <br /> designation shall receive an additional increase of <br /> 5%, for a total of 10%. <br /> <br />SECTION 7. COMPLEMENTS OF FIRE AND POLICE DEPARTMENTg <br /> <br /> The authorized complement of the Fire Department shall be one <br /> Chief, one Deputy Chief, seven Battalion Chiefs, thirty-three <br /> Captains, forty-one Lieutenants, and one hundred uwenty-eight <br /> Firefighters, for a total sworn complement of two hundred <br /> eleven. <br /> <br /> The authorized complement of the Police Department shall be <br /> one Chief, one Assistant Chief, four Captains, thirteen <br /> Lieutenants, twenty-seven Sergeants, and two hundred and three <br /> Police Officers, for a total sworn complement of two hundred <br /> forty-nine. <br /> <br /> -9- <br /> <br /> <br />
