(b) Each applicant for minor or in-fill subdivision approval shall present a plan for the <br /> same to the planning director. Upon finding in accordance with the preceding <br /> paragraph the director shall certify the proposed plat or plan as a "minor subdivision" <br /> and, by affixing a notation to that effect and his signature thereto, grant final <br /> subdivision approval. At each regular meeting of the Planning Commission, the <br /> planning director shall make a report of all minor subdivisions approved for filing <br /> since the last meeting. <br /> <br />(c) The planning director shall refer any minor or in-fill subdivision not meeting the <br /> standards set forth in Article II to the Plarming Commission. <br /> <br />(d) Requirements imposed by the planning director under Section 33-38 are subject to <br /> review of planning commission at the written request of the applicant. <br /> <br /> 3. That a new Section 33-38 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia <br />(1988) be adopted to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 33-38. In-fill subdivision standards. <br /> <br /> In order to ensure compatibility of an in-fill subdivision with existing <br />development, lots created by an in-fill subdivision shall be comparable in lot width, area, <br />setback and frontage orientation with existing platted lots in the surrounding <br />neighborhood. The planning director shall require additional lot width, area and/or <br />setbacks as appropriate, consistent with development on adjacent property. <br /> <br />4.
