AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $14,280,000 FROM THE CAPITAL <br />IMPROVEMENT FUND AND $8,249,774 FROM THE PUBLIC UTILITIES <br />CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE <br />1998-99 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That the sums of $14,280,000 from the Capital Improvement Fund and $8,249,774 <br />from the Public Utilities Capital Improvement Fund be, and the same hereby are, <br />appropriated for expenditure in the following categories and amounts to implement the <br />1998-99 Capital Improvement Program: <br /> <br />Capital Improvement Fund: <br /> <br /> Drainage and Street Improvements $6,876,000 <br /> Education 1,300,000 <br /> Industrial and Economic Development 507,000 <br /> Leisure Services 52,000 <br /> Public Safety 3,425,000 <br /> Municipal Facilities 2,120,000 <br /> <br /> Total Capital Improvement Fund $14,280,000 <br /> <br /> Public Utilities Capital Improvement Fund $8,249,774 <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting held on <br />April 28, 1998. <br /> <br /> Teste: <br /> <br /> <br /> City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
