AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 35 OF THE CODE OF TIlE CITY OF <br />PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA (1988) BY AMENDING SECTION 35-320 <br />THEREOF PERTAINING TO THE DEFINITION OF "RESIDENTIAL <br />CONSUMER" FOR PURPOSES OF THE UTILITY SERVICES TAX. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That the defmition of "Residential consumer" contained in Section 35-320 <br />of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia (1988) be amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 35- 320. DEFINITIONS. <br /> <br /> Residential consumer means the owner or tenant of property used <br />primarily for residential purposes and individually metered by residential unit, including <br />but not limited to, apartment houses and other multiple-family dwellings. <br /> <br /> 2.
