(f) If, after the issuance of a decal or sticker under this article, the same is lost <br />or stolen, the penalty for operating a motor vehicle without a decal or sticker shall be <br />($10.00) if paid within fourteen days of the date that a summons is issued or a notice of <br />violation is attached to the motor vehicle in violation. Failure to pay the penalty within <br />fourteen days will resuk in an additional processing fee of ($10.00). Failure to pay the <br />penalty within twenty-eight days of issuance of the summons or the notice of violation <br />shall be cause for a warrant to be issued pursuant to section 22-4 of this chapter. <br /> <br />Sec. 22-89. Use or sale of sticker or decal on unauthorized vehicle prohibited. <br /> <br /> No person shall use any sticker or decal issued under th/s article on any vehicle <br />other than the vehicle for which it was issued nor shall any person sell any sticker or <br />decal to another for placement on any vehicle except that for which it was originally <br />issued or lawfully transferred. A violation of this section shall constitute a Class 4 <br />misdemeanor. <br /> <br />Section 22-90. Disposition of sticker or decal upon sale or transfer of vehicle. <br /> <br /> (a) In the event of the sale or transfer in any manner of a motor vehicle to <br />which has been affixed a sticker or decal pursuant to this article, it shall be the <br />responsibility of the registered owner or vendor to destroy such sticker or decal or to <br />surrender the same to the commissioner of the revenue. <br /> <br /> (b) In the event a motor vehicle to which has been affixed a sticker or decal, <br />is sold or transferred in any manner to a licensed motor vehicle dealer with such sticker <br />or decal attached, it shall be the responsibility of the dealer to destroy the sticker or decal <br />or to surrender the same to the commissioner of the revenue prior to placing such motor <br />vehicle in his showroom or lot for sale. <br /> <br />Sec. 22-91. Display of expired sticker or decal. <br /> <br /> It shall be unlawful for any owner of a motor vehicle, trailer, or semitrailer to <br />display thereon any city sticker or decal after the expiration date of such sticker or decal. <br />The penalty for displaying an expired decal or sticker shall be $50.00 if paid within <br />fourteen days of the date that a summons is issued or a notice of violation is attached to <br />the motor vehicle in violation. Failure to pay the penalty within fourteen days will result <br />in an additional processing fee of $10.00. Failure to pay the penalty within twenty-eight <br />days of issuance of the summons or the notice of violation shall be cause for a warrant to <br />be issued pursuant to section 22-4 of this chapter. <br /> <br />Sec. 22-92. Issuance ofstlckers or decals for vehicles owned by nonresident military <br />personnel. <br /> <br /> <br />
