Sec. 40-162. Waivers allowed; nonconforming zone lots. <br /> <br /> The Director of Planning and Inspections may issue a zoning clearance for the <br />purposes of the building permit process on any lot of record lawfully existing on the <br />effective date of this zoning ordinance or of any applicable amendment to the ordinance <br />which does not conform to the dimensional requirements established for the zoning <br />district in which the lot is located. <br /> <br /> 3. That Table 40-44-2 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia (1988) <br />be amended by adding thereto a new Note (i) to read as follows: <br /> <br />Table 40-44-2. Yard Requirements: Residential Zoning Districts. <br /> <br /> i. The street setback for an accessory structure on a corner lot shall be the <br /> same as for the primary structure. <br /> <br /> 4.
