Jul~ 6, 1993 At a Called Meeting of the City Council held on Tuesday, July 6, 1993, there were present: Mayor Gloria O. Webb, Vice Mayor Lee E. King, Griffin, Sr., James C. Hawks, Cameron C. Pitts, V. City Manager, Stuart E. Katz, City Attorney. Bernard D. Wayne Often, Absent - Johnny M. Clemens, John H. Epperson 93-269 - The following call for the meeting was read: "Please attend a special called meeting of the City Council to be held at 801 Crawford Street, 6th Floor, City Manager's Conference Room, 6:30 p.m., on Tuesday, July 6, 1993, for the purpose of consideration and discussion of publicly held real property in the southern portion of the City. In addition, you may consider a motion to go into an Executive Session. By order of the Mayor." 93-271- Motion by Mr. Griffin, and seconded by Mr. King, to go into Executive Session pursuant to provisions of Section 2.1-344 of the Code of Virginia for the following: (1) Consideration of the condition, acquisition or use of real property in the southern portion of the City for public purpose, as permitted under Subsection {A) (3) . The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. Motion by Mr. Griffin, and seconded by Mr. Pitts, pursuant to Section 2.1-344.1 of the Code of Virginia certifying that to the best of the Council member's knowledge during the immediately preceding Executive Session of the City Council: (1) Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and (2) Only such public business matters as were identified in the motion by which the Executive Session was convened, were heard, discussed or considered in the meeting by the City Council.
