25 Deceraber 7, 1993 At a Called Meeting of the City Council held on Tuesday, December 7, 1993, there were present: Mayor Gloria O. Webb, Vice Mayor Lee E. King, Johnny M. clemons, John H. Epperson, Bernard D. Griffin, Sr., *James C. Hawks, Cameron C. Pitts, V. Wayne Orton, City Manager, Stuart E. Katz, City Attorney, William Froehlich, City Assessor, Sheila P. Pittman, City Clerk. 93-468 - The following call for the meeting was read: "Please attend a special called meeting of the City Council to be held in the City Council Chamber, 6th floor of City Hall, 801 Crawford Street, at 5:00 p.m., December 7, for the purpose of City Council Appointee evaluations. In addition, you may consider a motion to go i~to an Executive Session. By order of the Mayor." Motion by Mr. King, and seconded by Mr. Executive Session pursuant to provisions of the Code of Virginia for the following: Clemons, to go into Section 2.1-344 of (!) Discussion or consideration of the performance of City Council appointees as permitted under Subsection (A) (1). The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. On motion of Mr. King, and seconded by Mr. Clemons pursuant to Section 2.1-344.1 of the Code of Virginia certifying that to the best of the Council member's knowledge during the immediately preceding Executive Session of the City Council: (1) Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and (2) Only such public business matters as were identified in the motion by which the Executive Session was convened, were heard, discussed or considered in the meeting by the City Council.
