<br /> Recommendation of the Manager that an appropriation of $~0.00 be allowed for a fire hydrant
<br />at the intersection of Cleveland and Maryland avenues, on the southeast ~orner, the Superin-
<br />tendent of the Water Department concurring in the recommendation, the cost for installation
<br />to the Water Department
<br /> It is recommended that a special appropriation of $30.00 be allowed for this hydrant;

<br />paid i~ error for 1925 on property 688, ,Pt. ~87 W. Broad St., as assessment of $3213.38 belongs
<br />to the owner of the land adjoining the land of Paul B. Codd on the south.

<br />on h~nd from collection of Dog Taxes, bill of J. Shirley Hope, State Game Warden, to amount of

<br />aocz-~ed mnterest~ We recommend that the saia bid be apcepted.

<br /> We have also received a communication from the ~inking Fund Commission in which they
<br />offer to ta~e up and cancel $2400.00 0ity bf 'Portsmouth bounds due this year. We recommend that
<br />this offer be accepted.

<br />District, H. A. Blakenship; Third District, Albert Lassiter.
<br /> The motion was adopted, and Mr. Brooks nominated T.~W. Mathews ~s a member from the First
<br />District. There being no other nomination~ he was elected, and by the following vote:
