<br />with the Department of Housing and Urban Development for a grant to implement the Twin Pines
<br />proposal.
<br />
<br /> The City has been notified by the Department of Housing and Urban Development that $151,000
<br />in discretionary funding is available~ under the Community Development Program. These funds are
<br />being reallocated to metropolitan cities state-wide and this application is in response to
<br />HUD's request for proposals. The City Manager recommends adoption." (See page 221 for action)

<br /> 79~197- "Consideration of,a resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into
<br />a lease agreement for tke interior furnishings for the new Municipal Building.
<br />
<br /> This resolution will authorize the City Manager to enter into a lease agreement for interio~
<br />furnishings to include: full height demountable partitions, screening systems,for open space
<br />work stations, case work for City Council Chambers and public areas including public counters,
<br />and other furnishings. The ~ty Manager recommends adoption."

<br /> On motion of Mr. Elliott and seconded by Mr. Gray, the following resolution was adopted

<br /> "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A LEASE AGREEMENT
<br /> FOR INTERIOR FHRNISHINGS FOR THE NEW MUNICIPAL BUILDING.
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the new Municipal Building will be occupied on or about November 1, 1979; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, certain necessary interior furnishings must be ordered and installed before
<br />.... a~c~ new ~Mun:iC~l-~B~i~ding is occupied,
<br /> NOW, TH~PcEFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia,
<br /> that the City Manager is authorized to enter into a lease agreement for interior
<br /> fUrnishings for the new Municipal Building.
