Brown, Jr., 3516 Arlington Place, representing Westhaven & Simonsdale Civic Groups. <br />Ira Eason, 1420 Lindsay, spoke concerning comments on subsidized housing - that many of <br />the comments made frighten him and did not th~nk it was good for the city. If subsidized <br />housing is needed, than let's have it, and referred to the people living in sub-standard <br />housing in other areas. <br /> <br /> 81-78 - Ms. Thelma Jones, 1333 Green Street, representing Portsmouth Client ~nvolvement <br />Committee, requested that the services from North Street, Dinwiddie Street, and the Food Stamp <br />Center of Social S~rvices all in one building - Municipal Building, to help cut expenses <br />and ma~e use of the o~d building. This move would save on utility, maintenance and the Up- <br />keep of the three buildings that are now ~eing used. Parking ~ould ~e more convenient and <br />also would help the handicap and the elderly by not having to use s~eps.
