<br />cut-back of firefightera; inquired of the result of the study on the Old Seaboard Building.

<br />League, spoke concerning tax burden on the citizens and against the employment of two assist-
<br />ant city managers.

<br /> 8t=209 Steve Whitehead, 4419 County Street, representing Central Midcity Civic League,
<br />spoke as oppoBed to the closing of the Westhaven/Waterview Causeway; complained of trash and
<br />debris falling from city/private vehicles on city streets and suggested that Section 23-405
<br />of the Code be amended to delete the word "device" and use"tarpaulin or cover", and referred
<br />to the tree of Mrs. Ida J. Grimes of the Westhaven section.

<br /> 81-210 - Gary L. O'Dell, 2020 Greenwood Drive, representing Portsmouth Professional
<br />Firefighters, IAFF Loc. 539, spoke concerning the reduction of fire apparatus and firefighters
<br />and for the protection of the public~ for lives and property, that a study be done.
