<br />00-22 - The following call for the meeting was read:

<br /> "Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be held at the
<br />Williamsburg Hospitality House, 415 Richmond Road, Williamsburg, Virginia, on Friday,
<br />February 4; 2000 at 8:00 a.m. for the purpose of a City Council Retreat.
<br />
<br /> In addition, you may consider a motion to go into a Closed Meeting.
<br />

<br />99 - 23 -The following item was discussed in Public Work Session:

<br /> Motion by Mr. Whitehurst, and seconded by Mr. Moody, to go into Closed
<br />Meeting pursuant to provisions of Section 2.1-344 of the Code of Virginia, to discuss or
<br />consider the following:
<br />
<br /> - the acquisition or sale of real property for a public purpose, as authorized by
<br />subparagraph A.3.
<br />
<br />Motion was adopted by unanimous vote.
<br />
<br /> Motion by 'Mr. Robinett, and seconded by Mr. Whitehurst, pursuant to Section
<br />2.1-344.1 of the Code of Virginia certifying that to the best of the Council Member's
<br />knowledge during the immediately preceding Closed Meeting of the City Council:
<br />
<br />1. Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting
<br /> requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and
<br />
<br />Only such public business matters as were identified in the motion by which
<br />the Closed Meeting was convened, were heard, discussed or considered in
<br />the meeting by the City Council.
<br />
<br />The motion was adopted by unanimous vote.
