<br />Mental Health Association in Portsmouth, spoke concerning mental health services to the in~
<br />digent and recommended that the Council request the City Manager to oversee the administratim
<br />of the Community Services Board. (See Exhibit 83-465)

<br /> The City Manager stated that he had met with the proper parties and the matter was being
<br />given consideration.
<br />
<br /> 83-466 - Richard W. Acker, 408 Concord Road, spoke concerning possible legislation be
<br />enacted controlling cats that are allowed to run loose.
<br />
<br /> The City Manager was requested to look into the matter and a report be furnished to
<br />Council.
<br />
<br /> 83-467 - John Wallace, 957-C Suburban Parkway, spoke concerning look-alike drugs, and
<br />stated that the Hampton City Council had enacted an ordinance and urged Council to look into
<br />the matter.
<br />
<br /> Council requested the City Attorney to review the matter and up-da~e the Council on
<br />alternatives and requested that Mr. Wallace be kept informed.

<br />- 83-468 - Councilman Gray stated that he had attended/a~ Virginia Beach wi~h Crime Line
<br />Commission, officers from the Police Department, and Cox Cable;!a.~d~x~ogerpierce, General
<br />Manager a~d Irvine Hill, President of Cox Cable presented to the cities of Portsmouth, Norfol~
<br />and Virginia Beach eheeks~ equat gmou~t~lin the excess of ~2,200, to be added to to the Crime
<br />Line Program to assist in the project~ Mr. Gray requested that a~ letter of thanks w~uld be
<br />appropriate to Mr. Hill and Mr. Pierce of Cox Cable for their contribution for the job that is
<br />being done in the area for Crime Line and to the Police Deoartment for such a fine program to
<br />get the recognition.
