278 <br /> <br />October 23. 1984 <br /> <br />Mr. Abramson requested that he be granted 15 seconds. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Beamer and seconded by Mrs. Lucas, that Mr. Abramson be granted 15 seconds <br />and was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> Mr. Abramson stated that his proposal call for the building to return to its 1914 <br />appearance and would like to give to Council the details of how that could be accomplished. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Corprew and seconded by Mrs. Webb, the matter to be referred to the City <br />Attorney, and was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> 84-406 - Councilman Corprew stated that the School Board was currently in the process <br />of a building su~veyas~udy and the Se~iBoar&J~q~fes~ed t~c~a~,alLsp~ndin~o~'-sc~d~/fu~di~gunti~ tt <br />survey has been completed. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Corprew and seconded by Mr. Beamer to de:lay all funding until the study <br />has been completed. <br /> <br /> Substitute motion of Mrs. Webb and seconded by Mr. Gray, that a letter be forthcoming <br />from the Chairman of the School Board regarding the matter, was defeated by 0-7 vote. <br /> <br /> Substitute motion of Mr. Gray and seconded by Mr. Beamer, that the matter be forwarded <br />to the City Manager's Office to be dispensed with, and was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> 84-407 Councilman Corprew discu§sed conditions in the Brighton area and requested that <br />the City Manager mnspect them with the assistance of Mr. Henry Wilkins, 2118 Peach Street. <br /> <br /> Vice Mayor Webb stated that a 3 page list had been submitted to Management on ~he <br />conditions in Brighton, and apologized for moving so slow, but things are being done in <br />area. <br /> <br />the <br /> <br /> Mayor Holley stated that the problems in Lee Ward are being closely monitored and to give <br />the new Council time to accomplish some of the problems that have existed for years. <br /> <br /> 84-408 - Councilman Gray reported that Deputy Chief Pope was in Maryview Hospital, and <br />would appreciate our prayers and thoughts at this time. <br /> <br />On motion meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />~,PPROVED - Yl/'i? <br /> <br /> Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
