$23,044 from the Capital Improvements Fund for the removal and
of an ordinance to appropriate
replacement of eight doors at

"The 1984 Capital Improvement Budget authorized $20,000 for a phased replacement of
exterior doors zn the Civic Center Complex. The existing doors are too heav~ causing continu-
ous mazntenance problems. The problem is particularly severe during storms accompanied with
high winds (northeasters). The pronosed door replacements would reduce drafts, therefore,
resulting in heating and air conditioning savings.

This phase of the program would replace eight (8) of the sixteen doors recommended for
replacement. The project was bid requesting prices for replacement of all sixteen (16) doors
in an effort to solicit better prices. Bids were received on October 8, 1984 and are tabulate¢
has agreed to honor this price for the replacement of eight doors versus the sixteen bid.
Therefore, the .F~r/al anticipated project cost is $23,044.
$50,000 from the Capital Improvements Fund for Recreation and Beautification Incent}ve Fund
projects.

"For the past seven years Council has provided 50-50 matching funds for Recreation and
organizations, athletic associations, and other civic and charitable groups to assist the City
