June 23, 2026 <br /> <br />Discussion: <br /> <br /> PBHS will use these funds to recruit, hire, and maintain two full-time peer support <br />positions: a Peer Recovery Specialist and a Lead Peer Support Specialist. Staff will <br />provide peer-led recovery support at the point of admission and throughout service <br />engagement, consistent with DBHDS certification and training standards. The goal is to <br />increase enrollment in STEP-VA services by 10% and ensure 50% of individuals served <br />maintain contact with peer services for 30 days or more. Funds are allocated to personnel <br />and administrative costs only. <br /> <br />Financial Impact: <br /> <br /> The total award of $153,493.37 is fully funded by DBHDS state grant funds and <br />does not require an increase to the adopted general fund budget. No local match is <br />required. All funds must be expended by June 30, 2027. <br /> <br />Recommended Action: <br /> <br /> Adoption of the ordinance.
