March 25, 1986 Motion of Mr. Beamer and seconded by Mr. Gray, ~!to add Commerce Bank to the City's list of authorized depositories, and was adopted by unanimous vote. 86-96 Letter from the City Manager recommending adoption of a motion to refund: "The Commissioner of the Revenue is requesting several ing request reflects a refund with interest: (a) $35.78 with interest to Roger Mason for 1985 Personal Property Tax. (b) $21,75 without interest to Linda J. Reed f~ 1985 Personal Property Tax. (c) $25,67 without interest to Joann Debro for 1985 Personal Property Tax. (d) $21.50 without interest to Michael T. Cecil for 1985 Personal Property Tax. (e) $315.60 without interest to LTD Associates for unused portion of 1985 Business License. ' for unused port~on (f) $1,022.76 without interest to Delip R. Desai, t/a Econo Lodge of 1985 Business License. refunds of taxes paid. The follow!. (a) $35.78 to Roger Mason, 4408 Faigle Road, ~ortsmouth 23703, for over-assessment of 1985 Personal Property tax. The refunds without interest listed below are those refunds which have resulted due to errors on the part of the taxpayer: (b) $21.75 to Linda J. Reed, 3914 Elliott Avenue, Portsmouth 23701, for 1985 Personal Property Tax. (c) $25~.6- to Joann Debro, 203 freland Street, Hampton 23663, for 1985 Personal Property Tax. (d) $21.50 to Michael T. Cecil, 519 Timothy Avenue, Apartment B, Norfolk 23505, for 1985 Personal Porperty Tax. (e) ~315.60 to LTD Associates, 3320 County Street, Portsmouth 23707, for unused ~ortion oJ 1985 Business License. Business was sold in November, 1985. (f) $1,022.76 ~o DelJp R. Desai, t/a Econo Lodge, 700 Frederick Boulevard, Portsmouth 2370-, fur unused portion.of 1985 Business License. Business was sold November, 1985. I recommend that City Council adopt these motions and that these refunds be granted."
