Baker, Sr. <br /> <br />Board of Electrical Examiners <br /> <br /> Steve Lawrence to be appointed to fill an unexnired te~m; <br />ending March'l, 1988; replacing Christopher M, Spruill. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Gray and seconded by Mrs. Webb, to close nomina- <br />tions, and there being no further nominations, the above members <br />were elected to the designated Board/Commission, and was adopted by <br />unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> 87-35 - Cameron C. Pitts, 4816 Mallard Crescent, representing <br />Churchland Association Action Committee, expressed appreciation of <br />the resolution passed concerning the relocation of the railroad <br />tracks to the median of the Western Freeway. <br /> <br /> 87-56 - John G. Hatcher, Jr., 3026 Reese Drive, representing <br />Board of Directors, Wesley Community Center, presented resolution <br />requesting that a "Blue Ribbon" task force be appointed to study <br />the extent and nature of poverty in Portsmouth. Feb. 18,19 <br /> <br /> 87-37 - Motion of Mr. Barnes and seconded by Mr. Gray to <br />the rules for citizen to speak, and was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> Molly Epperson, 107 Maryland Avenue, President of Port Norfolk <br />Civic League, expressed appreciation for clarification of resolutio <br />concerning relocation of the tracks to the median of the Western <br />Freeway, and requested that City Council continue to pursue the <br />connecting link that is desired by the Port Norfolk Community. <br /> <br /> 87-38 Councilperson Lucas inquired of a report regarding <br />the Wetlands.
