Leoncio, M.D. <br /> <br /> "The Commissioner of Revenue is requesti~ng refunds Cwithout <br />interest) to the following business for unused portion of their <br />1986 Business License: (See list above) <br /> <br /> I recommend that Council adopt'thi~ motion and the refunds be <br /> ~ranted." <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Gray and seconded by Mrs. Lucas, that authoriza- <br />tion be granted to refund to Crown Foods, ~nc., t/a Boulevard Big <br />Pig Market ~, 3543 Virginia Beach Boulevard, Norfolk, VA 23502, <br />$1,667.22; Morgan Products, LTD~, t/a~organ Distribution 550 Wood- <br />lake Circle, Chesapeake, VA 23320, $1,900.25; Jose D. Leoncio, <br />1061 North George Washington Highway, Chesapeake, VA 23323, ~214.121 <br />for unused portion of 1986 Business License, and was adopted by <br />mnanimous vote. <br /> <br /> 87-55 Letter from the City Manager recommending <br />motion to refund $140.86 (without interest) to R.C.M. <br /> 1985 Business License. <br /> <br />adoption of <br />Electric <br /> <br /> "The Commissioner of Revenue is requesting a refund of $140.5~ <br /> interest, to R.C.M. Electric, 632 Parker Road, Chesapeake, <br />mnia 25320. <br /> <br />The business overestimated gross receiFts on their 1985 Busi- <br />License, therefore, they are due a refund. <br /> <br /> I recommend that Council adopt this motion, and a refund be <br />ranted." <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Gray and seconded by Mr. Simpson, that authoriza <br />ion be granted to refund to R.C.M. ~lectric, 632 Parker Road, <br />Chesapeake, VA 23320, $140.56 for 1985 Business License, and was <br />adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> 87-56 Letter from the City Manager recommending adopti~n of <br />a motion to transmit the 1986 Annual Report of the Portsmouth Port <br />~ Industrial Commission and the Industrial Development Authority of <br />the City of Portsmouth. <br /> <br /> "Attached for your information is the 1986 Annual Report to th~ <br />City Council by the Portsmouth Port and Industrial Commission (PPIC) <br /> the Industrial Development Authority of the City of Portsmouth <br /> PIDA). <br /> <br /> During 1986, the two bodies issued Industrial Revenue Bcnds <br />five projects and sold 13 acres of industrial land for develop- <br /> projects which will bring a total of $4.5 million in new ~n- <br /> nt to the City. <br /> <br /> During the year PIDA also received three development proposals <br />[or PortCentre Commerce Park which wootd bring $10.5 million in new <br />investment to Portsmouth. Negotiations on these three Frojects are <br />~roceeding smoothly and it appears that all three land sales will b~ <br /> ~nsummated during 1987. <br /> <br />This report is presented to you for your information." <br /> <br /> <br />
