Motion of Mr. Gray and seconded by Mrs. Lucas, that authoriza- tion be granted to refund to Crown Foods, ~nc., t/a Boulevard Big Pig Market ~, 3543 Virginia Beach Boulevard, Norfolk, VA 23502, $1,667.22; Morgan Products, LTD~, t/a~organ Distribution 550 Wood- lake Circle, Chesapeake, VA 23320, $1,900.25; Jose D. Leoncio, 1061 North George Washington Highway, Chesapeake, VA 23323, ~214.121 for unused portion of 1986 Business License, and was adopted by mnanimous vote. 87-55 Letter from the City Manager recommending motion to refund $140.86 (without interest) to R.C.M. 1985 Business License. adoption of Electric "The Commissioner of Revenue is requesting a refund of $140.5~ interest, to R.C.M. Electric, 632 Parker Road, Chesapeake, mnia 25320. The business overestimated gross receiFts on their 1985 Busi- License, therefore, they are due a refund. I recommend that Council adopt this motion, and a refund be ranted." Motion of Mr. Gray and seconded by Mr. Simpson, that authoriza ion be granted to refund to R.C.M. ~lectric, 632 Parker Road, Chesapeake, VA 23320, $140.56 for 1985 Business License, and was adopted by unanimous vote. 87-56 Letter from the City Manager recommending adopti~n of a motion to transmit the 1986 Annual Report of the Portsmouth Port ~ Industrial Commission and the Industrial Development Authority of the City of Portsmouth. "Attached for your information is the 1986 Annual Report to th~ City Council by the Portsmouth Port and Industrial Commission (PPIC) the Industrial Development Authority of the City of Portsmouth PIDA). During 1986, the two bodies issued Industrial Revenue Bcnds five projects and sold 13 acres of industrial land for develop- projects which will bring a total of $4.5 million in new ~n- nt to the City. During the year PIDA also received three development proposals [or PortCentre Commerce Park which wootd bring $10.5 million in new investment to Portsmouth. Negotiations on these three Frojects are ~roceeding smoothly and it appears that all three land sales will b~ ~nsummated during 1987. This report is presented to you for your information."
