September 15, 2015 At a Called Meeting of the City Council on Tuesday, September 15, 2015, there were present: Mayor Kenneth I. Wright, Vice Mayor Elizabeth M. Psimas, William E. Moody, Jr., *Paige D. Cherry, Dr. Curtis E. Edmonds, Sr., Danny W. Meeks, Dr. Mark M. Whitaker. 15 - 333 - The following call for the meeting was read: th "Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be held in the 6 Floor Conference Room, 801 Crawford Street, 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 15, 2015, for the purpose of a Closed Meeting. By order of the Mayor." 15 - 335 - Motion by Dr. Whitaker, and seconded by Dr. Edmonds, to go into Closed Meeting pursuant to provisions of Section 2.2-3711 of the Code of Virginia for the discussion and consideration of prospective candidates for City Attorney, as permitted under Section 2.2-3711 A.1. The motion was adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Edmonds, Meeks, Moody, Psimas, Whitaker, Wright Nays: None Motion by Ms. Psimas, and seconded by Dr. Whitatker, pursuant to Section 2.2- 3712(D) of the Code of Virginia, certifying that to the best of the Council Member’s knowledge during the immediately preceding Closed Meeting of the City Council: 1. Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and 2. Only such public business matters as were identified in the motion by which the Closed Meeting was convened, were heard, discussed or considered in the meeting by the City Council.
