MaTch 24, 1987 <br /> <br /> Mr.~Steven Gold; 776 ~Oak Grove Road, representing Alliance Life <br />2are Corporation, was available to answer questions. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Simpson and seconded by Mr. Gray, to concur in <br />the recommendation of the Planning Commission, UP 87-5 for a nursin <br />nome on proper~y lying on the west side of ~avalier Boulevard and <br />south of Greenwood Drive, and was approved on first reading, and was <br />adopted by 4-0-1 (Abstaining-Lucas) vote. <br /> <br />~ Councilperson Lucas stated she would, abstain inasmuch as the <br />STOP organization had entered into a joint management agreement <br />the Alliance Life Care Corporation. <br /> <br />(d) STREET NJul~E CHANGE <br /> <br />SOUTHSIDE NEIGHBORHOOD: Request of <br />the Industrial Development Authorit <br />of the City of Portsmouth, in con- <br />junction with the development of <br />PortCentre Commerce Park, desires t <br />change the name of Fourth Street and <br />Court Street south of the Crawford <br />Connector, to PortCentre Parkway. <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Gray and seconded by Mrs. Lucas, the followin <br />~rdinance was adopted on first and final reading, and was adopted <br />the following vote: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE NA~E OF FOURTH STREET <br />AND A PORTION OF COURT STREET SOUTH OF THE CRAWFORD <br />CONNECTOR TO PORTCENTRE PARKWAY." <br /> <br />Ayes: Corprew, Gray, Lucas, SimFson, Webb <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> <br />87-82 Rezoning and group housing applications: <br /> <br />(a) Z 87-3 <br /> <br />CRADOCK NEIGHBORHOOD: Rezoning applicat' <br />of Farm Fresh, Inc. by Thomas H.
