256 December 8, 2014 At a Called Meeting of the City Council on Monday, December 8, 2014, there were present: *Mayor Kenneth I_ Wright, Vice Mayor Paige n. Cherry. William E. Moody, Jr„ Marlene W. Randall, Elizabeth M. Psimas, Dr. Curtis E. Edmonds, Sr., Danny W. Meeks, City Manager John L. Rowe, Jr., City Attorney George M. Willson. 14 - 456 - The following call for the meeting was read: "Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be held in the 6th Floor Conference Room, 801 Crawford Street, 6:00 p.m., Monday, December 8, 2014 for the purpose of a Closed Meeting. By order of the Mayor." 14 - 458 - Motion by Mr. Edmonds, and seconded by Ms. Psimas, to go into a Closed Meeting pursuant to Virginia Code 2.2 -3711 for the following purposes: Consideration of candidates for appointment to City boards and commissions, as permitted under Subsection A.1. The motion was adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Edmonds, Meeks, Moody, Psimas, Randall, Cherry Nays: None Motion by Ms. Psimas, and seconded by Mr. Moody, pursuant to Virginia Code Section 2.2- 3712(D) certifying that, to the best of the Council Members' knowledge: 1. Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements under the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and 2. Only such public business matters as were identified in the motion by which the Closed Meeting was convened were heard, discussed or considered in the closed meeting just concluded by the City Council.
