Walls, 1307 Centre Avenue <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Gray and seaonded by Mrs. Webb, to grant speaker <br />1 1/2 additional minutes to finished presentation, and was adopted <br />by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />Mrs. Tona Branch, 1115 Jewe~l Avenue <br />Mrs. Patricia J. Williams, 25 Neville Street <br /> <br />The following speakers spoke against the education system: <br /> <br /> Mr. Kris Beaman, 414 Kay Road <br /> Ms. Mildred McLain, 3716 Linnet Lane <br /> Bernard D. Griffin, 1343 Watson Street, requested 3 additional <br />minutes. <br /> <br /> ~ ~Motion of Mrs. Webb and seconded by Mrs. Lucas, that 3 <br />minutes be granted to speaker, and was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />Warren F. Curry, 1328 Roosevelt Blvd. <br />Vivi~n B. Curry, 1328 Roosevelt Blvd. <br />Stephen P. Bristow, 4249 Morgate Lane <br />Ernestine Layne, 217 Cypress Road <br />Vera Buston, 3117 Garland Drive <br />Crystal Watson, 310 Truxton Avenue <br />Charlene Hughes, 114 Parkview Avenue <br />Mary M. Hall, 235 Douglas Avenue <br /> <br /> 87-155 Bill Watson, 200 Gee Street, represent%ng__the <br />Highland Biltmore Civic League, requested 18 additional minutes. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr~ Barnes and seconded by Mr. Simpson that speaker <br />be granted 15 additional minutes, and was adopted by unanimous <br /> <br /> Mr. Watson spoke on all conzerns that he had previously <br />brought before Council. <br /> <br /> Responses were given in all areas of concern as stated by the <br />citizen. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Barnes and seconded by Mrs. Webb, that conqerns <br />of the speaker be referred to the City Manager, and was adopted by <br />unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> 87-156 Hank Fallon, 101 Jacquelyn Drive, representing <br />Taxpayers-Voters of Jacquelyn Drive, spoke concerning a No-U Turn <br />sign. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Simpson and seconded by Mrs. Webb, that a ~o-U <br />Turn be placed a~ Portsmouth Blvd. and Jacquelyn Drive, and wss <br />denied by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Lucas, Simpson, Webb <br />Nays: Barnes, Corprew, Gray, Holley <br /> <br /> Substitute motion of Mr. Gray and seconded by Mr. Barnes, <br />that the matter be referred to the City Manager and a report be <br />furnished at the meeting of April 28, 1987, and was adopted by <br />unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> 87-157 - Cameron Pitts, 4816 Mallard Crescent, representing <br />Churchland Action Committee, requested 5 additional minutes. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Gray and seconded Barnes that the citizens p~ <br />granted 5 additional minutes and was adooted by unanimous vote_ <br /> <br /> <br />
