Webb, Steven Lieberman, City Attorney. <br /> <br />87-162 The following call for the meeting was read: <br /> <br /> "Please attend a Special Call Meeting of the City Council <br />with Members of the School Board on Monday, April 27, 1987 at <br />6:30 p.m., in City Council Chambers, 6th floor of City Hall Buildi~ <br />801 Crawford Street, Portsmouth, Virginia for the purpose of dis- <br />cussing matter of mutual concern. <br /> <br /> The City Council may also consider a motion to go into <br />executive session to discuss those matters permitt~ed by the <br />Virginia Freedom of Information Act. <br /> <br />By order of the Mayor." <br /> <br />The following members of the School Board were present: <br /> <br />R. Franklin Hawkins, Chairman, Ben A. Beamer, Sr., <br />Dr. Willie Mae W. Beamon, Bradford L. Cherry, Helen Davis, <br />Kathryn T. Gravatt, James M. Pickrell, Robert E. Spencer, Jr. <br />Bishop Thomas E. Talley, James T. Martin, Deputy City Attorne <br /> <br />Rev. Ben A. Beamer, Sr., offered prayer. <br /> <br />Mayor Holley Called the meeting to order. <br /> <br /> Comments were offered by ~ice Mayor Webb, Councilmen Barnes <br />and Corprew. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mrs. Webb and seconded by Mr. Gray to go <br />Executive Session in accordance with Section 2.1-344 of <br />Virginia to discuss the following: <br /> <br />into <br />the Code o <br /> <br /> 1. The consideration, acquisition and use of real property <br />for public purposes as permitted under subsection (a) (2); <br /> <br /> 2. Consideration of a personnel matter as permitted under <br />subsection (a) (1)1 <br /> <br /> 3. Consultation with City Attorney and briefing by staff <br />members pertaining to actual or potential litigation or other <br />legal matters within the jurisdiction of the City Council as per- <br />mitted under subsection (a) (6); <br /> <br /> 4.
