Webb, <br />that fiYe additional minutes be granted to citizen, and was adoote~ <br />by unani~cus voze. <br /> <br /> Bill Watson, 200 Gee Street, representing Highland Biltmore <br />Civic League, spoke concerning a fuel truck and Butler Building <br />for the police helicopter and descension in the City. <br /> <br /> 87-228 Paul Robert, 356 Broad Street, <br />Marine, stated that the boat ramp was prsgress~ng and requested <br />that a resolution be adopted requesting the Corp of Engineering <br />to expedite consideration of the permit. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Gray and seconded by Mrs. Webb, the following <br />resolution was adopted and by the following vote: <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE UNTED STATES ARMY CORPS OF <br />ENGINEERS TO EXPEDITE THE:PERMIT APPLICATION OF DOWNTOWN <br />MARINE TO CONSTRUCT BOAT RAMP FACILITIES. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, DowntsWn'Marine has made application to the U. S. <br />Army Corps of Engineers for a permit to Construct boat ramp <br />facilities on the former Coast Guard Base on the Elizabeth River; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said facilities will provide additional services for <br />citizens of the area for launching small pleasure boats; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, s~id ~acilitias Will not iexten~ into the navigable <br />waters ~£ the Elizabeth River. <br /> <br /> <br />
