The final phase (Phase III) is estimated at this time to cost $1.5 million. These funds will be programmed in future CIP's as the development pro- gresses and as the need for appropriations are anticipated. I concur with the City Engineer's recormnendation to amend the existing design contract with C. E. Maguire and for the appropriati of $810,715 for continued work at PortCentre." On motion of Mrs. Lucas and seconded by Mr. Simpson, the fol- lowing ordinance was approved on f}?rst reading, and was adopted by unanimous vote: "AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $810,715 FROM THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR PORTCENTRE IMPROVEMENTS, PHASE II." 8~-240 Letter from the City Manager recommending adoption an ordinance to appropriate $671,000 from the Capita] Improvement Fund for street improvements on Bart and South Street from ~ffin to Court and award of contract. of "The 1986-91 Capital Improvement Program allocates funds for treetscape, Phase III, Bart and South Street Improvements. The roject involves installation of new curb and gutter, brick sidewall .ecorative street lights, tree planters and repaying of the streets. The first phase of this project, installation of underground utili- ties, is near completion and we are ready to begin the street and sidewalk improvements. Funding for this project is allocated in FY 86-87 of t~g 1986-~ 2apital Improvement Program and from prior authorizations. $35,000 been previously appropriated in the Community Development Fund ~nd tke balance needs to Be appropriated at this time so as to be ~hle to proceed ~ith the project.
