Ottavio, James Moss, Clinton <br />J. Fortune, Matthew L. Peanort and L. A. Clark be appointed viewers <br />and that Moses Gibson and James L. Linehan be appointed alternate <br />riewers in the event one of the preceding vmewers fails to partici- <br />)ate, said viewers to view the hereinafter-described portion of suc <br />~treet and to repert to this Council in writing whether in their <br />opinion any, and if any what, inconvenience would result mn vacatin <br /> closing the following: <br /> <br />Chemical Way <br /> <br /> All that certain piece or parcel of land, lying and <br />b6ing in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, being more <br />particularly described as that portion of Chemical Way <br />bounded on the north and south by the property of Virginia <br />Chemicals, Inc., bounded on the east by Progress Avenue; <br />bounded on the west by West Norfolk Road." <br /> <br />Ayes: Barnes, CorFrew, Gray, Simpson, Webb, Holley <br />Nays: None <br /> <br /> 87-266 Letter from the City Manager recommending adoption of <br />motion to transfer $112,603 from the Grants Contingency Account <br /> renewal of the Perinatal Health Care Program. <br /> <br /> "I am pleased to inform yon that the Perinatal Health Care <br />Program has been granted a renewal for a fourth year with funds <br /> rom the State Bureau of Maternal and Child Health. <br /> <br /> The Perinatal Health Care Program employs nurses, outreach <br /> , and clerial personnel to provide prenatal and well-baby <br />clinics, nutritional assessment and counseling, home visits, parent <br />classes, transportation and medical care for low-income, high-risk <br /> ~ther~. and infants. These~services are provided for the Pc <br /> lth Care District. <br /> <br /> The State Bureau of Maternal and Child Health is awarding the <br /> Portsmouth Health Department the sum of Sl12,603 in funderal funds <br /> to renew the program for a fourth year.
