338 February 21, 2013 At a Called Meeting of the City Council on Thursday, February 21, 2013, there were present: Mayor Kenneth I. Wright, Vice Mayor Paige D. Cherry, *William E. Moody, Jr., Marlene W. Randall, Elizabeth M. Psimas, Dr. Curtis E. Edmonds, Sr., Danny W. Meeks. 13 - 71 -The following call for the meeting was read: "Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be held in the 6th Floor Conference Room, 801 Crawford Street, 5:00 p.m., Thursday, February 21, 2013 for the purpose of a Closed Meeting. By order of the Mayor." 13 - 72 -Motion by Ms. Psimas, and seconded by Mr. Meeks, to go into Closed Meeting pursuant to Virginia Code section 2.2-3711 for the following: Consideration of prospective candidates for appointment as City Auditor, City Manager, and City Attorney, as permitted under Subsection A.1. The motion was adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Cherry, Edmonds, Meeks, Psimas, Randall, Wright Nays: None Motion by Ms. Psimas, and seconded by Mr. Meeks, pursuant to Section 2.2- 3712(D) of the Code of Virginia, certifying that to the best of the Council Members' knowledge during the immediately preceding Closed Meeting of the City Council: 1. Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and 2. Only such public business matters as were identified in the motion, by which the Closed Meeting was convened, were heard, discussed or considered in the closed meeting just concluded.
