February 12, 2013 <br />- Mayor Wright spoke on the following events: <br />- Recognized Pastor Joe Fleming of Third Baptist Church. <br />- Local Government Day in Richmond. <br />- Mr. Moody offered condolences to the family of Billy Grimsley, Sheriff's Deputy, for <br />their loss. <br />13 - 28 -Report on Pending Items <br />• Bernadette Hogge, City Ombudsman, gave an update on items of concern <br />presented by citizens at the January 22, 2013 City Council Meeting. <br />13 - 29 -Non-Agenda Speakers <br />1. Betty Ashberry, 5218 Cobble Hill Road, spoke in opposition to City Council's <br />decision to not televise non-agenda speakers. <br />2. Horace Brown, 508 Dogwood Trail, voiced his concern with the drainage problems <br />at his home. <br />3. Wanda Foster, 2509 Azalea Avenue, asked for help in repairing damage to the <br />home she purchased through the Center for Community Development, Inc. (CCDI) <br />4. Clyde Toler, 1029 Blair Street, spoke on various issues within the City. <br />5. Orlen Stauffer, 1720 Barron Street, spoke in opposition to the proposed tolls on the <br />Downtown and Midtown Tunnels and asked for a contribution from City Council to <br />help with the lawsuit. <br />6. Chris Williams, 1441 Welcome Road, spoke on personal accountability. <br />7. Terry Danaher, 413 Dinwiddie Street, gave a status report on the tolls lawsuit and <br />asked that City Council support the lawsuit. <br />8. Steve Carroll, 3112 Riveredge Drive, spoke in opposition to City Council's decision <br />to not televise non-agenda speakers. <br />9. Delores Knight, 33 Kennedy Drive, spoke in opposition to City Council's decision to <br />not televise non-agenda speakers but was escorted from the podium before <br />concluding her remarks. <br />11. Pat Simons, 801 Mimosa Road, voiced her concern with statements made by the <br />Superintendent at a work session, CCDI and with City Council not televising non- <br />agenda speakers. <br />12. Nettie Fischer, 361 Dinwiddie Street, spoke in opposition to City Council's decision <br />to not televise non-agenda speakers. <br />13. Coleman Young, 602 North Street, commended City Council for their willingness to <br />look into helping with the lawsuit against putting tolls on the Downtown and <br />Midtown tunnels. <br />14. Nelson Velez, 5772 Churchland Boulevard, spoke in opposition to City Council's <br />decision to not televise non-agenda speakers. <br />15. Kintrell Davis, 515 Water Lilly Road, spoke in support of City Council's decision to <br />not televise non-agenda speakers. <br />16. Nancy Lamartin, 500 Chesapeake Avenue, commended City Council for their <br />support of the lawsuit against the tolls. <br />
