325 <br />January 22, 201.3 <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is directed to send a copy of <br />this resolution to the Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia and to the Portsmouth <br />delegation to the General Assembly." <br />Ayes: Cherry, Edmonds, Meeks, Moody, Psimas, Randall, Wright <br />Nays: None <br />- New Business - <br />13 - 44 -Boards and Commissions <br />There were no appointments. <br />13 - 45 -Items Submitted by Council Members <br />- Mayor Wright provided updates on the following: <br />- Winter Conference of the U. S. Conference of Mayors <br />- U. S. Conference of Mayors Weight Loss Initiative <br />13 - 46 -Report on Pending Items <br />• Bernadette Hogge, Ombudsman, gave an update on items of concern presented by <br />citizens at the January 8, 2013 City Council Meeting. <br />13 - 47 -Non-Agenda Speakers <br />1. Robert Turner, 4313 Templar Drive, asked that City Council address the concerns <br />he brought forth with regards to Police and Fire retirees. <br />2. Delores Knight, 33 Kennedy Drive, spoke in opposition to City Council's decision to <br />not televise non-agenda speakers and asked that they reconsider their decision. <br />3. Leslie French, 208 Glasgow Street, asked that City Council reconsider their decision <br />to not televise non-agenda speakers. <br />4. Pat Simons, 801 Mimosa Road, spoke in opposition to City Council's decision to not <br />televise non-agenda speakers. <br />5. Steve Carroll, 3112 Riveredge Drive, spoke in opposition to City Council's decision <br />to not televise non-agenda speakers. <br />6. Mark Geduldig-Yatrofsky, P. O. Box 50141, spoke in opposition to City Council's <br />decision to not televise non-agenda speakers. <br />7.
