318 <br />January 15, 2013 <br />At a Called Meeting of the City Council on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, there <br />were present: <br />j~l Mayor Kenneth I. Wright, Vice Mayor Paige D. Cherry, William E. Moody, Jr., Marlene <br />'! W. Randall, Elizabeth M. Psimas, Dr. Curtis E. Edmonds, Sr., Danny W. Meeks, City <br />~~ Manager John L. Rowe, Jr. <br />13 - 33 -The following call for the meeting was read: <br />"Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be held at I. C. Norcom <br />High School, 1801 London Boulevard, 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 15, 2013 for the <br />purpose of a Community Meeting. <br />In addition, you may consider a motion to go into a Closed Meeting. <br />By order of the Mayor." <br />The following concerns were discussed by citizens: <br />1. Absence of prayer in schools. <br />2. The need of the community to fight on behalf of the youth. <br />3. More Council attendance at community events. <br />4. Non-Agenda Speakers not being televised at the Council Meetings. <br />5. 100th Anniversary of I. C. Norcom High School. <br />6. Lack of recreation in the City. <br />7. No tolls lawsuit. <br />8. Improper spending of School Board funds. <br />9. Transparency in government. <br />10. Lack of City inspectors. <br />11. Lack of development at the old Cradock High School site. <br />12.
