Hanbury, II, Steven Lieberman, City <br />Attorney. <br /> <br />87-367 - The following call for the meeting was read: <br /> <br /> "Please attend a special called meeting of the City Councill <br />~o be held in the City Council/City Manager Conference Room, 6th <br />floor of City Hall, 801 Crawford. Street, at ~:00 p.m. on Monday? <br />qugust 24, 1987, for the purpose of a public work session on: <br /> <br />1. Goals and Objectives <br />2. Curbs, Gutters, Drainage (CIP) <br />3. CIP Priorities <br /> <br /> In addition you may consider a motion to go into an executlive <br />session. <br /> <br />By order of the Mayor." <br /> <br /> The~ City Manager introdUced Mr. Thomas O'Kane, Director ofi <br />Public ~orks. Mr. O'Kane Bade a presentation on drainage and s}tree <br />improvements proposed throughout the City. <br /> <br /> The City Manager briefed Council on projects projected andi <br />expenditUres for FY 86-91 CIP. : <br /> <br /> Councilman Corprew reqmested information on mementos availlable <br />for Councilmembers attending conferences, ah'd!civilc functions onl <br />behalf of the City. ' <br /> <br /> .87~36~(a) ~,Motion of Mr. Gray and seconded by Mr. Barnes,i <br />to into an executive session in accordance with Section 2.1-344! of <br />the Code of Virginia to discuss the following:~ <br /> <br /> 1. The condition, acquisition and use of real property f~r <br /> ~ublic purposes as permitted under subsection (a) (2); <br /> <br />2. Consultation with City Attorney and briefing by staff <br />~embers pertaining to actual or potential litigation or other liegal <br />matters within the jurisdiction of the City Council under subs~ <br /> <br /> 3.
